Windows 10: Audio software
I never used WMP or WMC often, just for testing or helping clients, and I have not started it in the last 18 months or so (until you mentioned it) , and had to search for it too.
I use other programs for media playback including VLC for Video and media-monkey for Audio, but to be honest I watch most of my PC based Media by streaming it to one of my Smart TVs or mobile devices. so use their interfaces. I use Mediamonkey to edit the meta-data of my media and for creating content for use in the Car ( currently the car has 3 dedicated 64GB Micro USBs )
Well I only use WMP for music CD's fr the car and friends either to prevent the original disk form getting damaged in the car or they want to try the music out.
I used to have one of those plug in fm modulators devices with sticks with music on an just tuned the radio to that device but it got really fiddly and thereafter I used it for books
DVD Fab media player w/passkey for video and AIMP3 for audio. The first combo works pretty much with all video file formats from the latest release to older file types. The latter plays everything audio and allows entering a variety of music stream web addresses as well as scrobbling last fm and spotify streaming among other goodies on board.
WMP, remember when it actually provided some sort of connection to the web? It has been left in the dust by just about any 3p app IMO. Just taking up valuable drive real estate.
Am set up now and wanting to add some software for copying to and playing audio from the Music library now that WMP is not in 10.
So any suggestions welcome :)
seems plenty of stuff around to GET audio from TV TO a phone --I'd like it the OTHER way around --FROM PHONE TO TV.
I can use Bluetooth for a Bluetooth speaker - but Bluetooth is pretty horrible compared with decent HD audio -- and...
I got a satellite speaker setup (some $50 setup with a sub) for my laptop (ASUS 2 in 1). In the past I'd plug in my speakers and I would get a prompt to select some audio presets (this is NOT Realtek HD audio manager, it was something else)
Just in the process of a clean install of W10, tried to install Realtek HD Audio from my ASUS P8 P67 Pro Rev 3.1 MB support Disc, Win 10 reported that it was not compatible with my system :(.
I do not seem to be able to find the software...
As the description says, I am getting some audio popping/crackling from internet videos (html5, flash etc.) and voice chat programs like skype or razer comms. I play a lot of games and there doesn't seem to be any popping into game audio. I will say...
