Be kind and forgive my atrocious ignorance.
I also report here even if I made another post, there is a possible solution, remedy, modification, alternative or suggestion for this thing? (The inactive window text is dark) Thank you.

Unfortunately it does not appear that the Title bar text colour can be changed in Windows any longer

You can do this if you use Stardock's Curtains (small charge). But that's a totally different approach, and requires you choose (or create) a theme for your window frames.

Curtains isn't a theme as such- it solely overlays Windows frames and is totally non-intrusive and reversible with one click. Lots of styles available for the frames.

    hi everybody, but particularly Superfly

i've been a very happy linux user for several years, but need to use windows to run certain apps from time to time.

i'm a big fan of dark mode, and it bugs me that some programs don't respect it.

what i really want to do is change the colour of the menu bar, and was hoping SMACC could help.

alas, i seem to be doing something wrong - please see screenshot. (these aren't the colours that i want, i'm just messing around at the moment)

the menu bar color hasn't changed - only a small strip under the word 'Exit' in notepad, and a tiny strip between the menu bar and the main window - as shown under smacc in screenshot.

i've restarted my pc several times in the course of my experiments, but seem to be doing something wrong.

    please help!

PS - what does the 'external colors' button do? and what happened to the 'dark theme' menu entry in SMACC?

    many thanks in advance

These settings are being deprecated in Windows as they move to UWP.. so unable to help with the menu

External colours allows you click on a colour outside the app and import it into the app. colour bar.
