Thank you! Seems to have downloaded fine. Quick question...can I recolour the scroll bars as well? I didn't see that option in the screenshot.
    I don't think it's possible as a soft mod but @Cliff S will know better than I...

    Only when using High Contrast.

@dalchina posted a screen capture of, if I'm not mistaken, SMACC showing an option to change scrollbars here.

So will SMACC recolour scrollbars or not?

That was a screenshot of it offering to do so, but I didn't say it would... and the registry values for scrollbar- see your other thread- unfortunately have no effect.

Please try using your graphic adaptor settings to get better contrast (again, see your other thread).

This looks like the kind of app I could have fun with. Why am I having a hard time trying to decipher which Window components are which? And is this strictly for Windows Explorer windows?

    Play with it.
Save what ever theme you are using now, and it you botch a color scheme, just reapply your theme(or any other saved one you have).

Go to this post: Windows 10 Themes created by Ten Forums members [2] , look at the Excel spread sheet, and anywhere it say my name and AeroHybrid, this is where I used SMACC in normal Aero mode(as opposed to high contrast), click the link, it'll bring you to that forums post that has the theme, and you can see the screenshots I posted, to see what can be changed.

    Thank you.

That leads to another, probably, obvious question: How do you install a Ten Forum member's theme? I see that they are usually (?) zipped and I know how to unzip. But then what? Is there an install file in the zip pack or a certain place I need to put a file?

And can I reasonably assume, that if I install one of the themes, my background / themepack DL'd off the MS site will be unaffected?

Question two: Can an Aero theme be easily converted / made into an High Contrast theme?

FWIW, I have not ignored the advice that offered instructions about changing the registry to effect a darker scrollbar, although if I am understanding correctly, those instructions may not work. But Win10 is so new to me and I am simply not entirely comfortable messing with the registry. Maybe I never have been...although I have done. Right this minute changing the registry seems a bigger problem than just dealing with light coloured scrollbars. I don't even need scrollbars--I have a scroll wheel on my trackball.

    Double click the Theme Name.deskthemepack
And if there are any extras(like additional wallpaper for lock screen), at least with my themes, instructions are included.
    Example:
    Code:
Instructions to apply your new Windows Aero Hybrid Theme
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.) Download all parts(Themepack, Inactive Title Bar accent color regiastry file, any additional wallpapers, and go to any provided links for extras, such as cursors).

2.) Once files are downloaded, right click each file, select Properties, and unblock them(a small checkbox on the bottom right corner of the General tab)

3.) Zipped files need to be extracted by right clicking and choosing Extract(to any place you wish, I have created a Themes Library folder for this myself, but to Documents, or Desktop is ok too).
You can now delete the Zip files and/or themepack if you wish, once they are applied. Although... I recommend, if you like the theme, save the zipped files somewhere other than the system(C:) drive(backup).

4.) Then you just click the Themepack & any additional registry files to apply them. Also place any additional wallpapers in your Pictures library, and add them to the theme or apply as Lock Screen and/or Start Screen.

    5.) Enjoy!

Note: To uninstall the theme: just go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization change to another theme, then right click the one you don't wish to have any more, and delete it.
All installing does is install the new one, and switch themes.
If your current theme is saved(recommended if you've made changes to the one you downloaded, like change icons, cursor/cursor color, and theme sounds), installing a new one does not affect it, as it is saved.

To convert an aero theme into a HC one, you need to open regedit, and save these two keys:
    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors

    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Colors

Then switch to a high contrast, double click the reg entries you save, either reboot, or sign out and sign in, then use SMACC to make adjustments.
Each time you make changes with SMACC you will need to sign out and back in for the changes to take effect, except for AccentColor and AccentColorInactive at the bottom, just saving takes immediate effect.(those are for the top window chrome

Thank you Cliff! I'll give it a go either tonight or tomorrow. Most likely both.
