What's the exact location of Accent color in registry?
I have this version of S.M.A.C.C, as of 9/23/21:
However, I see on the Releases . Superfly-Inc/SMACC . GitHub page, there is a S.M.A.C.C.msi file. I can download it, but don't know where it's supposed to go. Putting it in the same folder as S.M.A.C.C doesn't seem to do anything.
1. There seems to be a later version, but when I download & try to install it, I get an error message about not finding the S.M.A.C.C.msi. How can I update?
2. Where should I put the S.M.A.C.C.msi file after downloading it?
Thanks in advance.
An msi file is an install file for Windows (originally, the file type stood for "Microsoft Installer"). It's similar to an exe file, in that you can double-click on it to install the program. But if you are running the setup.exe, it's likely trying to call the msi file (which contains the actual program), so the two files need to be in the same directory when you run setup.exe.
You can just download the .msi and launch it - it adds a shortcut to SMACC on your desktop - to uninstall use Add/Remove programs in Control panel.
Setup.exe must have SMACC.msi alongside it if you using that to install.
The Store preview only uses the .msi - I just added the Setup.exe as I was not sure of the Store requirements, but it's not necessary to download it.
