Do you know of a good source for it? The link I referred to earlier isn't letting me do the download. Also, Microsoft has it, but they package it up with a bunch of other programs called Microsoft Essentials which has things I don't want.

I also found another site that mentions it, but the only download buttons end up downloading another program called Filmora. Best Video Editing Software for Windows 10
You do not have to install everything. From MS help text

Windows Essentials 2012 is a suite of free programs that can help you organize and edit photos and videos, manage email, create blog posts, and keep your files in sync. You can choose which programs you want to install or you can install all of them. Windows Essentials 2012 works with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. Windows Essentials includes the following programs:

I didn't realise Windows movie maker was on the store via modern apps. Is it free or do you have to pay for it like Windows DVD player?

This is not Windows Movie Maker surely - it is made by videopix. WMM is an MS tool?

Interesting, I cannot see WMM unless the app Movie Maker labelled videopix is the same. I will have to try it and find out.

I suppose somebody could have been a bit naughty and wrapped up the MS product into an awp?

Yeah, I looked on the store too but couldn't see Windows Movie Maker on there either. The only way I am aware to get it is to download the essentials. I guess people who upgraded from 7 or 8 and already had it installed will still have it on their machines. But those with computers that came with windows 10 or done a clean install would have to download via essentials.

Yeah I downloaded the Movie Maker as per the Store and it is a totally useless app so dumbed down even politicians could use it and full of popup ads. It is definitely not WMM. Don't touch it with a barge pole.
