Family Tree Maker will not open on second loading.

Family Tree Maker 2012 was loaded into W 10 and worked fine. For other reasons, it was deleted from the computer and one month later was re-loaded as before. The screen icon shows, and opening circle shows as if it is about to open, but the software does not open.
    Any ideas?

This is the current system requirements: Windows 7 and later, including Windows 10, 675 MB hard disk space, 2 GB of RAM, 1024 x 768 resolution. Notice the statement about Windows 10.

I assume this is the software you're using.

Windows 10 wil remove desktop programs w/o your permission if they're deemed not signed or potential security risks. Of course, many of these were false positives. It could be that this program is one. Uninstall and re-install using compatibility assistant (right click the exe and 'Troubleshoot compatibility), selecting the prev version that you knew the program worked under, before the Upgrade. Read this, it may apply to you -

This may be why their website states its not ready for Windows 10 yet.
