    Try this:

Extract the files from the install package using 7-zip.
Right click the msi file (Windows Installer Package),
    Press the Compatibility tab
Enable Run this program in compatibility for:
Select [ Previous version of Windows ] from the dropdown box (it's the only selection available)

Some installers can't figure out the combination of Windows 10 as an OS / .NET 4.6 yet

i would like to know how to uninstall 4.0 and install v3.5 because an old game i've installed requires v3.5. i can even run the game to upgrade the game because it tells me to install 3.5.

when i try to run the game, i get a popup that says an app on your pc needs the following windows feature (EG .NET Framework 3.5) see attached. i click the "download and install feature".

it appears to download, but then i get another popup that says "the following feature could not be installed > .NET Framework 3.5.

i have a standalone copy of dot net v3.5 so i went into "turn windows features on or off" and i ticked the box to ADD .Net 3.5, then clicked OK. It then tried to DL 3.5. again, it appears to download, but then i get another popup that says "the following feature could not be installed > .NET Framework 3.5.

    any ideas Legends??

    thanks in advance.
