From what I've been reading the update from 10041 to 10049 has been buggy and the clean install of 10049 has been a better path to go. I did the clean install and 10049 is rock stead with no issues so far.

Well, I don't really use the calculator a lot. I can use the one on my iPad... or my Ti-83.

I want to use the old calculator from Windows 8.1 in Windows 10.
The new metro app is pretty slow and ugly, I think.
I copied calc.exe from System32 and SysWOW64 folder of Windows 8.1 to my Windows 10 but it won't run.
I searched the web...
I use the built-in windows calculator occasionally. The last time that I brought it up its window flashed up and disappeared very quickly. So it is getting invoked, but dying then very quickly. So I tried starting it from a DOS prompt window, same...
