    Exclusive: This is what the new Chromium-based Edge looks like

    Microsoft is working on a new version of Edge that's based on the open-source Chromium project, a move that shocked many. The company has internally been working on the browser for months now and, according to our sources, currently maintains two channels for the browser: a Dev channel updated weekly and a Canary channel that's updated daily.

    We were recently able to get our hands on some screenshots of the browser in its current state, as well as some images of the new Microsoft Edge Store which will showcase the many extensions Microsoft can now boast as a result of the move from EdgeHTML to Chromium for its browser...

    It seems that the "See all your tabs" and "Set these tabs aside" buttons disappear from the top left... but maybe that function is still accessible from another part of the browser.

    Interesting...

    Microsoft Edge Insider builds: Troubleshoot install and updates.

    Microsoft Edge Insider builds refers to both Microsoft Edge Canary and Microsoft Edge Dev.

    1. Check your operating system. Microsoft Edge Insider builds are currently only available on Windows 10 (64-bit). Other versions of Windows are not supported at this time.

    2. If you are running Windows 10 (64-bit), a recent Windows Update might have changed some system settings. Uninstall your Microsoft Edge Insider build, and then download and reinstall it.

    Hi folks

    @LEOPEVA64

    I still dislike apps without traditional menus -- I'm not using touch screens and I don't want my multi-monitor setup to look just like a large mobile phone screen -- for me IE11 has the easiest favorites and FF has decent menus.

    say what you like about IE11 but this is still IMO the easiest interface by far to use. Top line menus and on the tool bar favourites. OK if you vist 1000's of sites another method is needed but for about 6 or 7 ones you visit regularly you can't beat those favourites on the favourite tool bar in IE11

    but of course I'm still an old one of these :

    How does one obtain an Edge Insider build? I signed up to be notified, but have not heard a thing. I'd love to see where this is going...
