Macrium Backup error
I was getting system hanging problem in my windows 10 for quite a days (my system is dual boot with two hard disk, one XP and other Windows 10). I already have macrium backup image but I tried to take a new backup of my windows 10 system drives with the free version from Desktop thrice and every time I got this error "Backup aborted! Unable to read from disk - Error Code 23 - Data error (cyclic redundancy check)".
I ran chkdsk c: /r but it hanged at 14%. I also ran disk error checking without any success.
Once I also got MFT corrupt error but I think it was resolved automatically.
Then I ran macrium from bootable media and I got success in creating Image except one warning that there was one cluster of bad sectors and data may been lost in that sector.
My question is that if I could get the image backup with bootable media than what was the problem with Desktop version. Note my Desktop version is updated but bootable media is not updated but both are having same version 6.
Do you suggest me to go for new hard disk.
