SearchWithMyBrowser - Open Cortana searches in your default browser

    Hi!

Today, I present to you SearchWithMyBrowser, a little tool to open your Cortana searches in your default browser. Since April 28th, Cortana opens Edge, to force Bing upon you.

SearchWithMyBrowser fixes this. It redirects searches to your default browser. If you have anything that redirected searches to another search engine, it will still work.

    Installation
First, you need to download the app. If you have git installed, you can also
    Code:
    git clone https://github.com/charlesmilette/SearchWithMyBrowser.git
No binaries are included. But don't worry! Making them will only take an Internet connection and 30 seconds. Two things that you should have if you are reading this.

    Simply double-click on
    Code:
    make.cmd
If everything goes well, your directory structure should change from

    Code:
    .gitignore
    install.cmd
    LICENSE
    make.cmd
    README.md
    SearchWithMyBrowser.cs
    to

    Code:
    Microsoft.Net.Compiler.1.2.1/
    .gitignore
    install.cmd
    LICENSE
    make.cmd
    nuget.exe
    README.md
    SearchWithMyBrowser.cs
    SearchWithMyBrowser.exe
    SearchWithMyBrowser.pdb
    To install, simply double-click on
    Code:
    install.cmd
It should pop-up an UAC. After you approve it, it should ask you to move the file to a permanent location (it'll stay there until you remove SearchWithMyBrowser) and paste it's location.

After doing that, it should write a little message and ask to press a key. After doing so, the file association dialog should open and ask you to choose between Edge and SearchWithMyBrowser. Select SearchWithMyBrowser and approve.

    Done!

If you have any problems or question, feel free to file and issue on GitHub or leave a post here.

    Charles,

I just found your great little program, after yet another Google search for, "Disable Bing for web searches". FINALLY!! I can click on a web result in Cortana, and Firefox opens to Google results again! I've been trying to find a way to ditch Micro$oft Edge and Bing ever since MS disabled FF's "Use this search engine for searches from Windows" option.
Since Github doesn't support leaving comments, when I found that you had posted here, I had to post, to thank you for writing such a wonderful bit of code. Kudos, and keep up the good work!
