"The operating system is not presently configured to run this app"

Since the 14332 Update I occasionally see an "error" dialog open on my desktop stating "The operating system is not presently configured to run this application". I call on the fellow members to see if they have ever seen this one before. It is absolutely a new one on me. As always I appreciate all your assistance.

!! You'll need your license to reactivate !!!

If you have MS Office installed, try this:

    Launch Programs and Features
Right click Windows menu "The operating system is not presently configured to run this app"-winmenu.png on the taskbar, pick Programs and Features
    - OR-
WinKey+R and type appwiz.cpl in the run box
    Scroll down to Microsoft Office
    Select Repair
Note MSO 2013, 365, and 2016 choose Full Repair.

    It takes a while
Restart your machine when the repair finishes
Open any MSO app and answer the activation question

A few search results mention disabling the Microsoft Office ClickToRun in services.msc

Others mention that it takes a full uninstall using MS tools and possible manual deletion of MSO related folders
Here's a good post on Kapersky that describes the brute force method
Error The operating system is not presently configured to run this application - Kaspersky Lab Forum

    but try the repair first.

I couldn't recall which app(s), besides OneNote, were placed in the MSO arena.

The Mail and Calendar apps are grouped in with MSO - perhaps they're the cause.

Try updating or uninstalling/reinstalling both of those UniApps.
