    I was able to uninstall the version of Skype that was on my computer. I downloaded and installed Skype and now have the options shown. I'll check my laptop and see what version of Skype is installed on it. I hope those settings makes a difference.

    The desktop version has more security settings then the app that was on my computer so I'm going to mark this as solved.

    Have you ever wondered the same thing about Spam email? It's basically the same thing with Skype. Think of the unwanted invites the same way you think of Spam email, because they are basically the same just a different application.
