    I have to say I've always been wary of Glary, it's an unknown quantity as far as I'm concerned. I've always used ccleaner and trust it to get the job done without any issues.

    I gave it a try. OK, but I'll stay with Ccleaner. For curiosity, in what respect did you find it more versatile? With the huge list of customisation options in Ccleaner, I honestly don't think I could cope with any more versatility.

    Hi there
    I agree with Kari's ideas on this. I have NEVER needed things like registry cleaners, driver scans, uninstall apps etc. If your computer gets hosed up for any reason it's better and safer to restore a previous image (YOU ARE TAKING REGULAR BACKUPS - I HOPE).

    Cnet is a notorious site now for adding mal /spy/adware - usually the downloads are hidden in a mass of other "offers" / toolbars" etc surrounded by a forest of green arrows etc - with the SOLE purpose of confusing the user into downloading all sorts of other unwanted rubbish.

    In any case some of these "Freebies" often nag you to "Go Pro" (i.e PAY) or the features you really want are only available in a paid version.

    Decent Open source software is usually hosted on many more reliable sites (university hosting mirrors) for example and even SOURCEFORGE has cleaned up its act considerably these days.

    Stay away from CNET if you want to keep a clean computer.
