    Windows Apps Folder Locked

    Hey guys!

Just bought Windows 10 Pro this morning and there's one last thing that i can't find the life of me how to fix. The windows store app folder... I want to be able to see the "size" and go "in" the folder. It says i do not have access. So i proceeded to try to modify the admin rights of that folder but in the end windows won't let me saying i do not have the rights to change th right etc.. This is very annoying. I have followed many tutorials which claim to fix this but won't work at all. Anybody got a cue here for me ?

    thanks,

    Max

Protection is there for a purpose. Bear in mind if you change some things in Win 10 you can easily break it. Beware.

Whatever you do, start by using disk imaging. Macrium Reflect (free) + its boot medium + external storage is popular here. Using that can save you a huge amount of pain and stress, and mean you can restore your system quite quickly without technical support.

Then suppose you can try out things, break Win 10, and restore it safely. Have fun! :)

Searching the forum is encouraged- here's what I found for you.

You could view the folder from outside Windows - boot disk, command prompt from a boot disk...

It's just a point. I want access to my stuff and it won't let me. I have tried the method you linked but it still won't let me. When i "apply" the new ownership and go back it says access denied and i can either "ignore/ignore all/cancel". I activated the admin account just for fun and i had access to it with that account. This is annoying.

Please see comments here for interest (?) - and read on. Looks like no joy. (Except, as I said, from outside Windows).
