Anyone wishing to have WMC on Windows 10 should look at this forum. This is where it is being developed.
    Code:
    http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/61061-DISCUSSION-Patch-WMC-to-run-on-Windows-10-final-amp-possible-alternatives
Download WMC 6.3.9600.16384 v12 from that forum. You will probably need to register.
Make sure you run both of the commands as administrator and that the files are on a local hard drive, not from a mapped drive of a server or NAS.

To have WMC to wake up for recordings, you may need to make "NETWORK SERVICE" a member of the administrator group. Run lusrmgr.msc, or right-click on Start button and select: Computer Management > Local users & Groups
then: Groups > Administrators > Add > "network service" > Check names > OK

I have run all the latest updates and it hasn't broke yet.

With every major update I had to reinstall WMC and it came back. But now with the Creator update, the program will not start. I tried the 2 latest installers and it will not start, no window, no error. What to do ?

OK, version 12 is NOT the one you want. You want the Newest which is, weirdly called v8.8.1 Here it is.
    Code:
    https://mega.nz/#!oI41yLKR!7VSf2ExxBLt1kFupQm1Ja1DHXNk4yKY8k63R6lK30Y8a
Now, download it, and extract it. You don't want it too deep in your system, make the path short. Now run _TestRights.cmd as administrator. If it stays open this is good. If it does not, then reboot your OS, and try again. Once it is open keep it open, and go to \bin\uninstall.bat, and paste the path into the open _TestRights.cmd window, and press enter. It will uninstall what you have already installed with version 12. Reboot your system. Now, run _TestRights.cmd to see if it stays open. It should. Now close it. Run either InstallerGREEN.cmd or BLUE.cmd as administrator. One will give you a green, and the other a blue border. It is your preference. Now all should work. Good luck!

Just to be clear (it's not in the message), the program (ehome.exe) will not start, but it's installed, for both installers (8 and 12) it's the same behavior. But I will try your method

The UNINSTALLER in version 8 is MUCH better.

Awesome!!!!!! If WMC doesn't work after future updates just run installer. It should fix it. I don't know anything about tv card issues. You will need to read about that stuff in the mdl forum. I don't have a tuner card.
