Thanks for that, I will give it a try. I am thinking of reloading Firefox and see if that fixes it.

I don't see how the two issues are related. You are apparently using Firefox even if you haven't managed to set it as your default browser. If this really is a problem between Firefox and Windows 10 (which I doubt), you might be glad that Firefox is not your default browser. (Just kidding.)
BTW, I really don't understand what Win10 is doing with default application settings. Sometimes I can change them, but usually I cannot. In general, I seem to be stuck with whatever I had in Win7. If I even have to do a clean install, I'm toast.
Yes, pain the neck isn't it..... I think what I might have to do is to wait for another Firefox update and just use Edge to upload the one thing I am having a problem with.
But if it worked with Firefox before your clean install of Windows then there is no reason to think an upgrade of Firefox will fix the problem. You'll just be moving away from a version for Firefox that used to work.
Did you ever say what error you were getting during the failed upload? If you did, I missed it.
I see your point.... It said 'Fail to open file. Check to see if file can be accessed'
Just to confuse matters I'm running 3 systems on Win10 with firefox, no access errors for up or downloading, been in use since RTM date or before , though all relevant updates to both Win10 and Firefox without any issues. this includes use of both a Router, (hardware), firewall and heavyweight software firewall on all systems
At this point, since a firewall has been ruled out, I suspect a Firefox option got reset in the reinstall. I have no idea what that option might be. I'd suggest asking for held from podbean support and/or on the Mozilla Firefox forum. If a Firefox default option prevents you from doing this upload you can't be the first to run into it.
I have tried Podbean but they tried using Firefox and it worked. There is something odd going on here. It just seems to have an aversion to MP3 files.
