I am using Windows 10 Home up-to-date. Just found this entry (Program) in my Task Manager-Startup Programs. It has no identification except 'Program' . On right click it doesn't show any properties or location just the enable or disable button. I have disabled it but am just curious as to what I can do to remove this program. Thanks for any info I can get on this.
Hi everyone, thanks for your help. I guess maybe I sent rather a confusing image as I was really talking about the startup item called 'Program' outlined in dark blue at the bottom of the image. Sorry for any confusion that I may have caused. Would like to get rid of this entry in start up.
Thanks also for the information about Flexera common software manager, it was another program I wanted to get rid of as I believe it was from Paint Shop Pro from Jasc but it doesn't appear anywhere when you try to uninstall it.
From task manager, right click on the title and select command line. The path of "Program" is probably set incorrectly in the registry.
To remove from startup. Download: WhatInStartup - Disable/delete programs at Windows startup
Unzip and run, high lite the item then delete the selected item.

Open regedit on your computer and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Here you can see all the items listed in the Startup section of Task Manager. If there is one you do not recognize, right click on the entry and choose Delete. The "Program" one I had was a WebComponent by Lavasoft. I don't remember installing that.
In order to determine to which program the “Program” entry in the “Startup” tab is displayed, open this tab and right-click on the name of any column. As a result, a menu will open in which you need to check the box next to "Command line".
In the appeared column you will see the path to the program file related to the incomprehensible "Program" entry in the "Startup" list.
According to the information displayed in the "Command line" column by the name of a subfolder or executable file, most often located in the "Program files" folders, you can determine to which application the "Program" entry belongs. Such entries in the Task Manager usually appear in cases where the so-called autorun extension points, representing different places in the file system or the registry and providing automatic launch of programs, point to non-existing files. This usually occurs as a result of incorrect removal of programs and is apparently due to the fact that their developers did not take care of proper removal.

Autoruns from Sysinternals can show what starts with windows, including from the reg keys and scheduled tasks, it also allows you to disable the items, putting a "Disabled by Autoruns" entry in the registry on the key so you can search the registry to find the disabled entry.
You can also right-click an entry and "jump to entry" to find the reg key, Task scheduler entry etc and delete entries entirely (some entries are protected by System or Trusted Installer so you need to take ownership first).
Very useful free app.
