    Default program for .bin files

I got an annoying problem. I accidently happened to make all my .bin files open with notepad. Ive tried to restore the default assocication of the .bin files through the default choice in control panel and also through regedit but without any success. Could someone help me to restore the default state for .bin files.
Would be very grateful if someone could help me to fix this issue.

That could be tougher than it sounds.

Bin files just mean binary files, and are not necessarily associated with any specific program.

In any case, you would not normally click in a bin file anyway.

Is it specific bin files causing you an issue and what?

You could try doing a system restore (if you have turned that on) and have any restore points before you made the error.
