    WordPad Woes...

Hello. I've been having issues w/ Windows WordPad for quite some time (yrs.), but am just getting around to seeking help for lack of importance. It's important now as I'm using it primarily for cut & paste as church historian. My Issue: all of the text shows on the PC screen ,but when I go to print the end-parts of the text are cut-off... I've done all I can think of: ruler, no ruler, word-wrap, no W Wrap, indent, justify, etc... I've tried 3rd party apps, but WP is so quick & familiar in layout, while other's aren't so friendly. Can anyone offer advice, can it be fixed, or offer 3rd apps?

    Thanks, LeRoy L.

It sounds as if you have a wrong page (paper) size selected. Change it in Page Setup's drop down menu as shown in screenshot below:

The screenshot shows I have selected the ISO standard A4 size but if you are using the US standard size Letter paper in your printer you should select it.

Wordpad doesn't work quite as well as what some folks need and Microsoft Works was discontinued some time ago and Microsoft Office/applications are expensive so I've been recommending the free LibreOffice, can read and save .doc and .docx files as well as many other formats. Not to sound ignorant, but are you referring to the 81/2" X 11" format?

Hello my Finnish ex-pat now in Germany friend. I just (re)-set the right margin where the cut-off occurred & it works perfect. Thanks so much. My OCD would not let this one go!!! LeRoy

Yes, I was. Official name of that size is Letter:
If that's the size you buy for your printer, that's the size you have to select in WordPad Page Setup.
