    An ugly phenomenon when running a Deskop Skype video talk

    When an acquaintance of mine and I run both Skype from the Desktop ( means: not the Skype-Video app )
    then appears on the video window of both participants a couloured window region wherein
    the spoken words shows up in life time and seem to be written to a protocol ( in an horrendous "language"
    where some german words are correct ).

    We dont want to see that sub-window/sub-region during our conversation - of course.

    The phenomenon appears when I run Win7 oder Win10 1511; my acquaintance always works under
    Win 10 1511. Let me remark that the phenomenon does NOT appear if my acquaintance "skype-s" with
    2 other persons ( we do not know whether these 2 persons use an old version of Skype) .
    We use the probably newest version of Skype 7.17.xxxxxxxxxxx.

    We suppose that Skype is the cause of it. Maybe some connection with malconfigured Cortana ?
    What does not support this idea is that the protocol- region also appears when I work on my PC
    under old Win7 ( with new Skype version ).

    Could some misconfigured option settings on the Win10 system of my acquaintance be the cause of it ?.

    Similar experiences and helping ideas are sought for.

    You have the Skype Translator turned on for this contact. Select this contact in Skype main window, open the chat history with him / her, and click the blue Translator icon (icon is grey if the Translator is off), finally turn it off. The contact does not have to be online to change the Translator status.
