    MS Store update this evening

Just noticed there was an update pending for MS store app (I have my app updates set to manual) bring version to 2016.27.2.0. Heart in my mouth time as last time this happened the store refused to re launch on my user account and I needed system restore to rescue me. Anyway I took a system restore point prior to the update and went for it. (Why does Windows 10 always have me on the edge of my seat expecting the worst?).

Long story short, Store updated and I relaunched it after giving it a couple minutes and all seems to be fine. Safe update

Cool. I'm pleased to say the update went much better than the last time!

No pending Windows store updates and nothing in the update history which may often be incomplete anyway . Thanks for the heads up I
I usually check WU daily even though it's on auto pilot maybe something will show for the store .:)

Installed the Store update, now store app won't run. Get about 1/2 second of the screen then nothing. Tried a lot of the internet fixes, none seemed to work so far. Thoughts appreciated.

Try system restore and choose a previous restore point. It happened to me before on the update prior to this one. It's sad that installing store update is a bit like playing Russian Roulette. I think when store update happens, it closes the store and you are best to leave it alone for a couple minutes. Totally speculative on my part but re-launching too early could be a factor. It's a shame, I like Windows 10 but the store updates and native app updates have been a constant thorn in my side.

Tx for that. It was a simple solution since I had just turned system restore on last week before the last cum update and store update. Did the restore, then updated the apps and then did the system update and security. It is back being functional again.

I believe the latest Store update, (June 3, 2016), now includes 'progress' and 'size' of updates.

Is this available now - or is this insider only? I am on the normal ring.

Only reason I ask is because since 3rd June checking store for updates I haven't seen an update for the actual store app offered. Plenty of native app updates of late but not for store
