MS Office 2003 and Windows 10

Recently purchased a new ASUS computer with Windows 10 installed. Installed MS Office Pro 2003 on this computer. Next installed documents from old computer that I replaced with the ASUS. When I try to open a document in Word on the new computer, I get a pop up window that says, "Word has insufficient memory. Do you want to save document as a rescued document 1?" Tried to find an answer as what to do next with negative results. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help. In spite of what Bill Gates once said, it appears Office 2003 is not compatible with Windows 10. How do I get to the compatibility mode in 10 please? I have the disc for Windows 7. Should I just go back to 7 and skip the headaches? How do I even delete 10 from this computer?

RE : How do I get to the compatibility mode in 10 please?

Right click at one of the Office 2003 > click Properties > click Compatibility tab at the top > under Compatibility mode heading, check the box Run this program in compatibility mode for > click OK when done.

Your computer comes pre-installed with Windows 10. I don't think it's a good idea to do what you ask.
Try the compatibility mode for Office 2003 first.

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate your patience but when I right click on the Word tile or Word in the All apps list, Properties is not one of the choices I have. I can select Unpin, Resize, More or Uninstall.

Right click at the Word tile > click More > click Open file location > now you will see all your Office 2003 programs listed > right click at one of them > click Properties ........

Mt screenshot shows 2007, yours will be 2003.

Ok, thanks, I got it. MS has a compatibility fix for my problem. And it only cost $149.00. Guess I should have done my due diligence before moving to Windows 10. Caught up in the hype. My bad!!
