    Cortana

Anyone having any luck using Cortana? I have been trying it out and so far I'm not impressed. I can't get "Hey Cortana" to work. I have to click the microphone before I can give voice commands. The only things I have been able to do is web searches and set up a reminder.

Seems Cortana on Windows 10 Build 9926 is not available , as yet, for the Australian market.

I just changed my region to US and it worked (although I'm not sure if I installed the US or UK ISO originally)

It doesn't work for me John. I installed the UK version and it is running in a VM which probably doesn't help.

Yeah I agree change region to U.S.
How to enable Cortana if you're using Windows 10 outside the U.S. - Neowin

If you don't have a microphone symbol showing in the search box beside the start button you have to click in the box and then click on settings in the upper left hand corner and Cortana should be set to off just turn it on.

Cortana is working pretty well for me on my modestly equipped MSI AIO. I set it for always listening and the response is pretty good. The window jumps right up with "Hey, Cortana" and the recognition of what I'm saying is fairly quick. The ambiguities of English do get in the way. I asked, "When is the nor'easter going to hit New York City?" It seems "nor'easter" is not in her vocabulary. However, she did toss it to Bing which did figure it out enough to have the answer on the first page of results.

    Bye.
