    Mine was imported for me.
Also I was lucky as I had an external A Drive where I backed them up to as well but did not need to use it.
Just for information A drive does work with windows 10
But it has been recommended that you put them on to an external drive or usb stick then once upgraded reinstall them.

Assuming you mean "photo gallery" as in Windows Photo Gallery.
If yes, install Windows Essentials into your Windows 10.
    After that, open Photo Gallery.
See if your photos that were in Windows 7 get carried over to Win 10.
It might not work at all but Photo Gallery is much better the Photo app from Windows 10.

Did you have them backed up in a USB flash drive ?
If yes, then you can just simply plug in the USB to Win 10 computer and copy the photos to the computer.

    OK.
Let's make sure we understand each other correctly. I have a feeling we are not in the same page.
English is my 3rd language and I am known to misinterpret in the most unusual way.

You have 2 computers, one running Win 7 and one running Win 10. Yes ?
If yes, then plug in an USB into Win 7 Computer > drag and drop the photos into the USB >
take the USB to Win 10 computer > drag and drop the photos into Win 10 computer.

There is Copy To and Move To right click context menu available.
If you have them, you can use them to transfer. It's much much better than drag/drop method.

The tutorial is applicable to Win 10. I use it myself.
