    Remove/Hide Apps in "All Apps"

    Hello together,

I am new here and I can't find my Question answered for the last three Days now....

I wish to remove from "All Apps" some Programs. I do not wish to uninstall them, but just to remove them from that list.

I found that I can add here X:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu things to autostart, but thats mostly it.

As example, i wish to remove "Steam" folder and Link in the "All Apps" .... but I cannot find anything how to do, besides of a uninstall

Same goes for lots of other stuff I get from Windows as default added... Cortana, Groove-Music, Mail, Contacts, Xbox and what not. I am simply not using all that stuff and it just bothers me that i have to scroll everytime so long to get where i want.

Is there a way, an Program or something that I can hide/remove here all unwanted Links to stuff I do not use at all?

In Win7 I had such a neat and completely clean Startmenu. This Tiles are nice, but I want to have everything clean and the way I want it, and not how the OS is forcing me to have. Like Accesoire... that Point in Win7 really came down to the Stuff i am SOMETIMES using, everything else was removed. IF i need something, i can check where to find that Application via Explorer.... and well, that never happened till now :)

Any idea how to do that or what Application I can use for a cleanup?

Oh damn! ... I think I have found it, by accident

Start -> All Apps -> Folder:AMD Catalyst Control Center -> Right Click on App:AMD Catalyst Control Center -> More -> Open Folder (Can't translate it correctly to English as it is German Language OS) -> VOILA!

    X:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Seems like I can move and remove Stuff to get everything sorted out as i need it!

    Whohooo.

Edit: Maybe not that easy *sigh* removed several things, but the folder/link still exists, but doesn't work anymore and there are not all Apps to find.. like xbox and other System bloated stuff.

After checking your link and trying to figure out why my Applications Shortcut Folder Thingy is empty, i gave that one up and went on searching for additional Sources what to do and found: How to Uninstall Windows 10’s Built-in Apps (and How to Reinstall Them) (Extra no link, one might simply google it)

Using this Powershell Thing let me uninstall a huge bunch of the Programs, biiig help.

Ok. I know that article/link was a little old, so not sure if it would work with newer builds. I guess basically a warning if one keeps trimming things away it may damage the system too much into uselessness.

BTW, I Bing via Cortana on the 10 system. Much quicker IMO.

    Good luck to you.

With Cortana I only meant the Link in Start -> All Apps ...

I simply hate to have so little control over what is shown/not shown in that Area.
For me that was always a Place that I kept as clean as possible for fast access to stuff i really need.

Cortana itself I have still in the Taskbar, just as the small Ball Icon and not the too large search field... quite nice when looking for Settings and such, haven't used it for Bing searches so far, still waaaaay too deep stuck in old behaviors ... Win10 just got like 5 days ago on this machine when i had exchanged the hdd for an ssd and a complete new install of everything....
Prior to this my old Win7 was unable to update to 10, as the Update Process always killed itself after it finished the download and i had to start over again, after the third try i had given up.

Thank you very much for your help anyways, I think i can keep everything as it is now.
