cpu miner what is the use for it and how to get rid of it

    hey guys,

CPU MINER comes up in the task manager (something to do with Bitcoins) and i want to get rid of it.

Do not find anything in the registry, in fact do not find it anywhere.

But i do not want it.

Is there a program or something that i can do to solve this problem?

    Thanks

    Jeff

    hi guys,

wanted to let this go, but make here a clarification:

    - did remove CPU MINER in Program & Features BEFORE i posted here.

some days later i opened Task Manager and Cpu Miner was still there. So i searched the Registry and did not find anything.

Ended the program in the Task Manager, thinking it was still working. I believe it just was there doing nothing, since now it does not appear again.

    thanks

@jefferys, you might want to look in Task Scheduler and see if something is left over there too.
