In my situation at work I recommended and pushed Windows 10 because we were still on Windows XP which was not supported anymore and window 7, which I like better, is already not supported! An unsupported OS is more trouble than incorrect fonts and less efficient UI unfortunately

Got cha. I just noticed that a Matlab m-file I just ran on this new i7, 32Gram windows10 machine takes as much time as my really old windows7 laptop, and 6 times longer than my work win7 machine with Xeon processor. Do you notice a performance hit on your matlab2006 when installed on win10 machine?
