Compared to some of their recent offerings this version on the face of it seems to be free of crap.

Well the one I have works fine cleaning chrome, maybe if yours is not working, try removing it completely than reinstall.
If that doesn't work go back to the version that does work for you, until the next release.

The above version has been released today and first look it duesn't seem to contain any nasties.
