Thanks for the link. How do I find that if I'm on the CCleaner web site. Even now, when I know it exists, I can't find it.

Ah, perfectly un-obvious place to put it. Thanks

After my early January clean install, I didn't install CCleaner for the first time after something like 10 years or so that I have been using the program.
The reason obvious: Avast took a great program and screwed it up.

Consequence: NONE, obvious enough to notice.
The native Windows 10 "Free up space now" seems to be working fine, the cookies I wanted set are there (does not clean them from Edge) and life goes on with no headaches!!!
I would tend to recommend it....

Have you considered Wise Disc Cleaner?

Ditto. I am now also using Windows built-in Disk Cleanup. It needs a bit of love though.

Yes, I have...a long time ago though, but I kept CCleaner as I found it better.
As I said, so far happy with the Windows cleanup tool and I don't find a good reason to try a new 3rd party application.
Apparently Wise Disc Cleaner, will be the next candidate I will try, when needed.
    Thanks for the suggestion!

Your welcome. I've found it to be reliable and not too aggressive.

A user on this forum suggested cleanmgr+, I've tried it out and really like it. It does a good job.

    Guys, thanks a lot.
I also remember there was a nice little tool, proposed by Cliff, but I need to search this thread a little to find it.

Oh, and Nick @swarfega, I'm back in trying to make Spotlight work.... for an unknown reason (I would call it Macrium restore!) it stopped refreshing images. But this is for another thread!
