I'd rather get either CCleaner portable or CCleaner Slim than the CCleaner standard version
i'll take the portable as long as it has ALL the feature of professional.

it is actually missing quick clean for some of us, just checked. now on a good note they FINALLY fixed the edge ********, AND a article to stop the preloading.
The offer to preview was a limited one. Maybe you and I are some of the lucky ones!

Black Friday Popup Ads in Notification Area

For those still interested in using CCleaner....

I'm on the Portable version 5.49.6856 ( 64-bit) and just now started getting these annoying Black Friday ads popping up in the notification area every time I start CCleaner64.exe

The good news, after some Piriform forum googling, is I am able to remove them by creating an outbound firewall rule to block any outgoing traffic from the CCleaner.exe, and not the one I'm actually running, CCleaner64.exe.

Outbound firewall rule does not work...

Perhaps this has already been discussed here, but I didn't see it.

For those NOT interested in using CCleaner...

...well here's another reason to continue not to ;o)

I installed the Slim version earlier today, still the annoying Black Friday popups are there. I'll put up with those for the time being as it does a good job in most cases.
