    Just don't upgrade to the last 2 or 3 updates, stay with the older versions. They work just fine.

    Hello all. It would seem that going to an older version would be the solution. However, if I'm reading the CCleaner thread correctly, it appears several users have done just that but they were updated to 5.46 behind-the-scenes and without their knowledge. The only way to prevent that, according to some of the posts, is to delete an .exe and then fiddle around with some settings to keep the .exe from coming back. Apologies if I'm wrong.
