In the past few days I've noticed that when loading Ccleaner, V 5.44, it crashes within a second or so.

Exiting Kaspersky, V 19.0.0.1088(b), then loading Ccleaner and restarting Kaspersky. Ccleaner then runs fine. Just crashes on load if Kaspersky is running.

    Any similar experiences?

    I'm avoiding updating to 5.45.

I'm finding CCleaner 5.45 Slim fine to use. No problems with it

What I meant to say, was that Ccleaner isn't really necessary.

Here's a video I found, that I think explains pretty well.
How to cleanup all the cache in Windows 10.

    Thanks George.

    Sure thing, no problem.

This guy Britec09, has a lot of youtube videos related to Win10.
I'm not promoting him, or anything like that.
It's just a good source of information, that I've come across, which I thought I'd pass along.

He comes up with one or two Win10 videos a week, usually answering questions posted on his web site.

I found his info to be pretty much on point, with what's offered here on the tenforum.
I believe he's actually a working tech as well.
He also has a few product review videos.
    However,
I find them to be a bit specific and often times don't really apply to any hardware available in the states.

The video I posted, touches on the deletion/removal of Prefetch items, from the Prefetch folder.
Which has known controversial opinions. On whether doing this has any real benefits.
I tend to leave the Prefetch folder as is.

    I'm curious...
    If any of you guys,
    have an opinion or facts.
About the deletion/removal of Prefetch items, from the Prefetch folder?

I do not ever delete my Prefetch folder, it will repopulate but in the meantime your machine will run slow. Your system will look there first for an app and if there are no changes will open it real quick. That is how I understand it.

I tend to agree with what you said and do the same myself.
    However,
the deletion of Prefetch items, still to some, remains a controversial action.

Your system may be more secure if you set it to delete at restart or shutdown, but there is a price to pay for that. MS says Defender is great so who am I to disagree with The Taco Hat person
