    All you had to do was keep version 5.40, and Not upgrade to 5.41 .....That's what a lot of us have done.
    @TairikuOkami If you didn't retain 5.40 installer, ask.....there are a number of places to DL it.

    Testing Version 5.41 Pro

    @TairikuOkami

    Weird answer by Mr Stephan.... Thanks for the link, but he's not saying the truth.

    The main usage of Ccleaner it to remove unwanted stuff and Avast is part if it.

    When performing a cleanup offline, Avast cookies don't come back. When doing the same with an active Internet connection, they don't either.

    When clicking on check for updates, they don't show up again. What I was checking is to block them in the firewall. None are shown, Piriform or Avast.

    For the rest, the new version runs well and it is good to see Mr Cleaner in action. I'm using it manually, meaning that all parameters are deselect even monitoring.

    Except Enable browser monitoring is set to Automatically clean on closing without notification. The first one is deselected, Enable system monitoring.

    Note: Yesterday, after upgrading, the 4 links were deleted and they are not back today: 2 Avast + 2 Ccleaner. Nothing to worry for now.

    Regards,
    Mike

    Wise Disk Cleaner is simply a better product, Avast does not own it.

    Updated to 5.41 but it hangs up on running "Cleaner" and goes to not responding. I had to revert to 5.40 which works OK.

    It's off by default Cliff, but it does look like you can add cookies, I just started playing with it today.

    I have used it too. It does a deeper clean than CCleaner so you need to keep an eye on it.:)
