Why not wait to see if they release the slim build in the next week or so?

Beware CCleaner installation! - Page 4 - Windows 10 Forums

I've never rushed to install the regular version as soon as it's updated.
I have always used The Standard Version which was perfectly fine till Avast bought out Piriform and turned it into bloatware.

CCleaner– (standard installer) used to come bundled with Yahoo Toolbar/Google Chrome even before Avast acquired it. I've never trusted it ever since so always get the slim version and disable auto update checks. I'd use Bleachbit but there's no support for Edge (yet).

Not if you used The Custom install, I do not use EDGE , and I would use Wise Disk Cleaner Before Bleachbit. At one time CCleaner was the best out there, but it has literally turned into it's nickname.

Always Always used the Standard Ccleaner here, do admit is turning into bloatware despite a very long time Avast Free user, slowly migrating away from that very slowly lol, as I've spent the last 16 years using Avast Free for protection household computers, and Android smart phones.

Slowly getting comfortable with switching though as realizing now it's turning into bloatware just like ccleaner they acquired now

    Thanks Mike!
Slim version of Pro is gone. It comes with Chrome. 2 Avast links to kill in cookies.

Double check fRegedit for some Avast stuff, negative. I've never seen the one that comes with Avast.

Just uninstalled 5.41 and reverted to 5.40. I think it's time I started trying other cleaners out :)

Just been offered 5.41.6446 which I guess is the latest?? Did not bite so far. My current version is 5.35.6201...must have slept thru some updates.?? 5.41 now has a portable zip

UPDATE: D/l the portable version 5.41.6446, runs fine, I see little difference in the interface when you select "show Advanced Report" in upper right hand corner, else it shows "summary" is not useful to me.

Version 5.41 adds various cookies for AVAST - CCleaner Discussion - Piriform Community Forums

This was the last straw for me. I have replaced it with the extension Cookie AutoDelete + Wise Disk Cleaner.

All you had to do was keep version 5.40, and Not upgrade to 5.41 .....That's what a lot of us have done.
