I installed CCleaner abot 45 minutes ago and there was no sign of Avast Cliff.

Was there a check box at all to enable you to deselect it?
I'm thinking that in my case NOD32 automatically blocked it as it won't allow another AV to be installed.

Oh yeah there was a checkbox, and the damned thing is pre-selected, the dirtbags. Definitely a PUP

I would have switched to another cleaner a while ago, when AVAST started doing this crap, but I can't find one that let's you save cookies, except IOBIT ASC, and they have even more PUP junk.

That's the weird bit, I didn't have a checkbox and no mention of AVAST.

I dont allow IOBIT near my computer. If you want an alternative, try Wise Disk Cleaner.
