    Thanks for your suggestion but perhaps I have not expressed myself correctly. My Recycle Bin is indeed emptied, right after running CCleaner Pro. It is just the icon on my Desktop that does not update, to show empty. As soon as I hover over it with my cursor, though, it refreshes and displays the empty bin [icon]. If I won't hover over it, I might run CCleaner 10 times, the Recycle Bin will be empty of course, but that icon will still display a full bin.

    Joanne, I've seen this in the past with 3rd party utilities including CCleaner,

    I believe it's related to some "cleared" flag, that controls the Icon Used, that CCleaner is not setting correctly, whereas the Windows internal process resets the flag correctly.

    In the past this has always been cleared by the next update so although it's an annoyance I don't think there is any issue with your system. A bit of feedback, direct to Piriform, may speed things up but not sure anymore with Avast at the Helm

    Thank you for understanding my issue. It is not a problem for me, just a minor inconvenience. IF you are aware of a way to contact them without having to subscribe to their site, please inform me. Otherwise I will wait or simply ignore it.

    @Joanne

    Icons can get finicky over time, and the cache may need to be cleared, and rebuilt. Very simple process. Try Shawn's tutorial for clearing and rebuilding. Only take a few minutes.

    Thank you for bringing this tutorial to my attention, good to know, and handy! :)

    Unfortunately, it has not resolved this issue. After applying all the commands in CMD Admin, it rebooted, and I created a test.txt and deleted it. I run CCleaner Pro (latest version), and my bin icon still appeared full. By the way, I clean-installed 10 Pro around December 10, 2017 (using the official ISO and everything).

    No worries! I'll live with it.

    Interesting. The link to the builds page with the portable version has been removed. It's still there though, you just have to google it.
