Just tried in Shadow-modus ; installed the previous ( 6.02) over the buggy latest .
Seems to work fine again , WITHOUT the system restore-bug !
    great to hear.

I could use a copy of the v6.02 pro installer if either of you could spare a copy.

All I have is the regular, which would require you to activate. You're welcome to it.

There's links for versions that go way back but if they get posted anywhere it usually results in a take down (removal) request.
Anyway all that is required is to find the link for the current build (pro, slim, free, portable) and change the build number.

Anyway don't knock it. What's the rush to update? Many releases have bugs and they get ironed out. The guinea pigs who rush to update or auto-update are the losers.

Well any in depth configurable system cleaner will always have bugs. The author cannot be expected to maintain software that will work on all systems or versions of windows with various user tweaks or configurations applied and any combination of software installed including writing rules for all possible installed versions of software from newly updated versions to the oldest available versions. All they can do is release updates and then issue fixes for reported problems. Generally for users having problems with new versions of Ccleaner the fix is to roll back to the previous version until the reported issue is fixed. They will only fix issues that affect multiple users.
