    It's for saving your settings (disable certain functions) and it remembers but only if you actually configure it to do so.

    Otherwise it just runs with default settings.
    RE: Firewall. I always block it and also in the Hosts file.
    Where is my CC.ini File?

    For the last two or three days I have been trying to download the latest version of CCleaner but the website is not accessible. Is there a problem with the website?

    How long have you been using this program? It's in the settings. If it's absent then you haven't configured it.

    Thank you @Kyhi for the links. The links work. The happy news is that now I am able to open the CCleaner website itself . When I run the previous version of CCleaner, it also offers to update. Why it didn't open for quite a long period yesterday, the day before and till now is still a mystery for me . ( I also downloaded from filehorse and it is the same and not modified in anyway)

My version is Build 10240 pushed to me from MS. I have it on a desktop Pc and a Thinkpad 450. Theres is a lot of errors in the eventviewer on both Pc's and it is the same errors. About 8 perflib errors when starting up and a lot of ESENT errors...
