    Launches GUI around 7 seconds after clicking the shortcut for me. Free version.

    EDIT: It's variable between 4 and 7 seconds so far.

    Same 5 to 10 second start delay here with the free version. I have both CCleaner executables (CCleaner and CCleaner64) blocked from accessing the Internet with OneClickFirewall and have done so for a couple of years now.

    So, I wonder what it wants to access the Internet for now immediately on startup? Can't be checking for updates because I have all that turned off in Options plus I always delete the CCleanerUpdate executable in Progam Files/CCleaner every time I install or update as well as disabling and deleting the 2 entries in Task Scheduler that are always created during the initial install and subsequent updates. And, I ALWAYS disconnect from the Internet before installing or updating CCleaner these days (I download the new version prior to disconnecting, of course).

    Going on the 'dodgy' behaviour of CCleaner the past few years (after being taken over by Avast) I am now going back to the previous version (565) and I'll stay with it.

    @CarlSD

    Do you also disable the scheduled task?

    I have Ccleaner blocked in firewall and updates disabled. It doesn't appear to be doing much on launch.

    Attempts to connect but doesn't. It tries regardless of disabled update checks. It doesn't succeed.

    I can live with a few seconds delay no problem. Let's see how the next version does?
