Changed to as you can see.
No luck still throwing up the error message.

I meant to change the path of soundtoys from E to C. I hope you didn't do something wrong.

No it s all good. Swapped it back.

Switching the soundtoys folder to the C drive location doesn't work. The plugins dont load, they inexplicably look for them in
    E:\User\Public\Documents\Soundtoys\Soundtoys 5
even though the installer places them
    C:\Users\Public\Documents\Soundtoys\Soundtoys 5
    I've searched the registry for
    all public documents loactions
    Soundtoys locations
    Each individual plugin name
    Nothing of relevance.
I've used JunctionLinkMagic to check all junction points and symbolic links are not interfering with the relevant parent and child folder.
    Nothing.
    No response from soundtoys yet!

Maybe then you have to change the path from your application. See the application settings or the plugin settings.

Good thought, looked into it. It defaults to the user directory when saving anyway. Which is oddly on the E drive not the C drive where the installer places it
Ive emailed their support again. Happy for them to log on with Teamviewer see if they can see whats happening. Can only wait.
Im of the opinion there something cross-wired in their coding when installing. They asked for a screen shot of the error a few weeks back, silence since.

How this E drive came upon? Did you ever move your home folder to another drive?

Not to sure what you mean by home folder.
As far as I recall I did have a symbolic link at one time. When the issue arose deleted it.

This led me to check the registry and jelly link.
After deleting the public folders on the e drive and uninstaaling the soundtoys plugins nothing appears to show for the location,e public folders or soundtoys in the registry.

Apparently some traces were left in Registry causing your problems. If this is not a very big trouble, I would try to uninstall completely the application, removing all traces with an uninstall utility, and then install it again. But I guess it would take a whole day, so I don't know if it's worth it.

I've unsintalled the software (Soundtoys bundle), checked registry with manual search for installers, checked all directories for traces.

TBH It's got to be something to do with Symbolic Links. I've ran a program that checks all shortcut links and nothing appears to be corrupt. The other programs in the defined location work and save fine.

I've contacted Soundtoys support on several occassions and I believe there is only 3 possible solutions :

1 Full resintall of windows (several days with all programs and configs). Do have a full backup but this issue with Soundtoys was prevelant before upgrades. So not convinced.
2 Soundtoys to introduce an installation method with manual selection of preset location path.
3 Work out why the software is acting in such a way and workaround it.

    Thanks again.

Their still could be traces of your program "Soundtoys" that you might have missed searching in Windows. Also some programs install themselves with different names then you might not even look for. As far as in your registry, same thing, as it could have written itself into many different area's. You might want to use a good registry program to search for those files, other than regedit. On searching your windows for any traces, you could try using a free program called "everything" which does a really excellent job of finding any file traces.
Here is a link for everything, if you want to try it. http://www.voidtools.com/
