    Dead Live Tiles

I lost Live tiles when I did a registry patch to fix a problem with Notifications see How to reset notification from these apps - Page 2 - Windows 10 Forums

How can I get them back again - tried unpinning, resetting, rebooting...

And notifications pop up in bottom left corner, my task bar is right side vertical. Is there anyway I can get windows to pop its messages bottom right.

Why did MS bundle Live Tiles and Notifications data into the same registry value - from a user perspective they are two quite different things. Most applications don't have notify messages, and Windows 'learns' about them as they occur; whereas the user explicitly maintains the Start Menu tiles. Too many programmers and marketeers and not enough system designers.

Have you upgraded to the latest release yet? If you have not, it would fix the registry and get you on the current release (TH2 build 10568.3). You can get it the fastest by using the media creation tool http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softw...load/windows10 .

Yes - my problems with notifications happened as a result of the upgrade, that registry patch I referenced fixed that

And sometime today this problem fixed itself - the live weather tile miraculously reappeared.

The main 'hang up' I have with W10 is that I don't feel as if I'm in the driving seat - things happen for no apparent reason.

    Thanks for the reply

Try running "sfc /scannow" in elevated command prompt.
