    Live tiles not so live

    If I reboot my computer everyday, the live tiles work mostly. But, I don't reboot everyday so live tiles, are not only not live, but some don't work at all. Case in point: I never get an email notification in the tile. (I'm assuming I should); when I click on weather a blank browser flashes then closes. If I click on weather again, the weather opens in the browser. The only time it opens in a tile is if I reboot. That only lasts for the day.

    These are all minor annoyances but it would be nice if I could get them fixed. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Also, I find OneDrive to be brain dead. I use KeePass. If I send up an encrypted key file from my computer to the phone, OneDrive has no idea what it is and tells me no app is found. In dropbox, I just click on it in the phone and it updates Keepass on the phone. Needless to say, I ditched this program.

    BTW, I like W10 and am glad I upgraded.

    Suggestion :

    Right click at Start > select Command Prompt (Admin) > at the flashing prompt, type ....
    Powershell
    > press Enter
    At the flashing prompt, copy and paste this .......

    Get-appxpackage -all *shellexperience* -packagetype bundle |% {add-appxpackage -register -disabledevelopmentmode ($_.installlocation + “\appxmetadata\appxbundlemanifest.xml”)}

    >press Enter

    See if that fixes your problem.

    Have your mail alerts ever worked properly?

    There are some of us that have had problems with them since the start, waiting on a magical update to fix them :)

    Leaving mail constantly open usually makes it more reliable

    It's working now. Guess it needed a few moments to reset. Thanks for all the help!

    Until you can find a permanent solution, please run the suggestion I gave you again.
    See if that will fix it...... for now.
