    Yes, there is a way to setup an admin account and yes there are over 1000 different Programs that can be applied to WinPESE..
    You should check out theoven.org website to learn how to create (develop) your own version of WinPESE with the programs you desire..

    Be warned, they are not very friendly to new users asking a lot of questions.. As it is a development forum and the users are more advanced then the basic forum user...

    Due to it being summer and the issues I had with my dad, I have not been very active with PE for a while.. Took a little time off from Testing and Development, but pretty sure when winter rolls through and I come inside, I'll be very active within the forum again..

    Hi there. I've been browsing this forum thread for a bit now, and I am loving the WinPESE disk. I have it loaded on a flash drive and have been using it to scan infected machines with great success. I am running into an issue however. I've been trying to update the boot-wim to add a few programs I find personally useful, but I have been unable to successfully add anything. I've followed the steps Kyhi has outlined, i loaded the boot-wim in the correct sub-folder in the Modify-WinPESE folder. I then ran the ModifyWinPESE.cmd with administrator privilages, and chose to modify WinPESE x86 Boot-wim (I am using an x86 ISO, no miss-matches). I moved my updated MBAM folder from my host system to the temp Mounted-Wim folder, as well as added a couple portable programs I find useful into the Program Files folder. I then went back to the cmd prompt and pressed a key to unmount and finalize the boot-wim. I moved the boot-wim back onto my flash drive, booted it up, and low and behold none of the programs were updated/added like I had done in the temp folder. I tried creating a new ISO using the ModifyWinPESE.cmd as well, which also didn't work. I know I'm doing something wrong on my end, I just can't figure it out. Anyways, if anybody would like to take the time to help me out, that would be much appreciated.

    Kyhi, I want to thank you very much for the time you've taken to create an amazing rescue disk, which even though I'm having trouble tweaking, I still get much use out of.

    Run MBAM from within the mounted wims program folder. That should update the PE program files..
    The virus definitions are located in the user appdata folder.. although I prefer to let MBAM auto update before scan

    @Kyhi
    Seem to have a problem with your Windows 10 Recovery Tool, Win10586PESE_x64 ISO v160707 Kyhi. It does not connect to my internet. Wired connection, says it missing msdt.exe in system32 ???? Then it only wanted to use a wireless connection, which I always have off on my router. So I turned that option on in my router, and finally it did connect, after entering Name and Password.
    I've NEVER had to use a wireless connection before Kyhi. Also tried your older version, same thing. Any idea's on this ??

    Mikey! Mystery solved with the Kyhi internet. Just a quick manual step. Thru the Start Menu/Control Panel, wiggle yourself to Device Manager. Click Show Hidden Devices in View. You'll see a whole bunch of devices with the yellow triangle, Lan is one of them. Right click and Update Driver. It will tell you drivers need to be re-installed. Make it happy! Give it a few seconds and the tray icon will go to yellow, then clear-up. I tested by firing up FF, and it connected fine!

    Like I said, it does work on WiFI but never had to configure the network settings before, on past Recovery Tool's it would automatically see my network fine ....now it see's NO network at all, without making changes.

    There is a method using what Kyhi already has. @simrick pointed out to me that Kyhi has PENetwork built in. It is not a shortcut on the Desktop, but under the Classic Shell Start Menu - All Programs, under Network.

    This may be preferable to the Device Manager method because it "sniffs" around and finds the Lan hardware you have and does the appropriate setup. Pretty quick.... Tray icon will change to yellow, then clear up. And you're all set to go!
