Just kinda feel to need to talk..
As many of you many know, I came down to Florida at the end of March to be with my Dad as he was to go in for post op surgery.
Well, the results of post-op was stage 4 cancer of the bladder, they removed what they could and suggested chemo/radi treatment.. He had another test to see how far the cancer had spread and it had spread into his liver, so radi treatment was out..
We decide to try chemo, although risky due to his health, but the first treatment landed him in the hospitial for 12 days...
So chemo was no longer an option either, as it darn near killed him... When he was diagnosed the cancer doctor gave him 2-4 months and I told my Dad I would go though it with him til the end... Well hear it is 3.5 months later and Sunday I had to have him admitted into Hospice, His liver has shut down, he is in a lot of pain and has but a few days before he passes... After seeing my Dad in this condition and after all this time of being here and caring for him, I made the choice to fully sedate him until he finally passes.. So it is just a matter of time now before he passes, We have accepted the fact, but now I feel that he will pass peacefully and without pain...

I went through almost the same exact thing with cancer and Hospice in Dec. 2014 with my Mom..
I feel your pain - I went through the same when my Dad died of brain cancer. The thing I regret is I never really told him I loved him although he knew. Make sure you do tell him even if he is just sleeping - he will hear you. You have done the bravest and kindest thing any human can do - never question that.

    With all my deepest sympathies.

    C.

x86 uses less ram both in PE and in Host OS
So if you trying to install windows 10 x64 with only 2GB Ram - for get about it..

Sorry for late reply - but my dad has transitioned into hospice and my time has been limited..

@handy2209 I use the 32bit version of 10 on my Netbook with 2GB Ram and it seems to work fine.

My Dad passed two hours ago... I did tell him I loved him before he was sedated, and he said to me, I was lucky..
After 3.5 months I am glad this journey is over for him... He was a good father and I could not have asked for better..

Gotta tell a small story about Dad..
In March he had an auto accident and received a ticket and was to go to driving school...
Well he ended up in the hospital and never went to driving school, so they sent a letter stating, that as of tomorrow they suspended his drivers license.. I guess he won't be driving anymore or reinstating his driving privileges..

So sorry for your loss. I went through the same in mid-2014, and may be going through it again. Condolences to you and your family. You and your dad are in my prayers. That's funny about the license.

Sorry to hear bud, keep the faith and get yourself checked out - prostate exams are a literal pain in the ass but is necessary with your family history (speaking from my vocation which is life insurance underwriting)

Ooops, very good suggestion, I should have emntioned that I have done a lot of searching including on Macrium Forum and it is a well know problem but not a lot of solutions. Often people don't bother they are knowledable enough to accept you just need to plug in a mouse and forget the problem. It is an option.

It is a known problem and may happen during a windows upgrade, I think it was mostly when you go from 7, 8 to 10 admit I am loosing track. In my case it seems it must be the WinPE (Macrium) not getting the correct driver information. I was betting my chances would be best with WinPESE. I probaly should have picked the x86 version, will try that tomorrow.

there is a Bug in WinPE.240 / MR.1366 apparently ,that causes drivers not to load ,
not sure if that is your issue or not with keyboard and trackpad.

Thank you for information. I feel more confident about downloading win10-32 bit (2 hours 30 min) it has been going for 30 minutes so far, just hope I get no interruption as I don't seem to be able to get 'resume' to work. I am using Opera older version which normally provides 'resume' if something oges wrong. I tested this before starting download and it did not work.

    Macrium 6.1.1366
I followed up on your link, the one I am presently battling with is 1225 build ( on 64 bit Win10), but perhaps this has the problem as well. To my surprise I checked my temp Win 7-32 and the Macrium here is the 32 bit trial version which I have not actually tested on the Toshiba yet. I think I downloaded this thinking that the non free version might be better but I have not got to try that. Being 1366 I will leave testing for the time being.

I use the 32bit version of 10 on my Netbook with 2GB Ram and it seems to work fine
Did this come pre-installed on your system with brand customisation or did you install fresh version of 10?
