Hi, as you've a distinct problem with your system it would be very much better to start your own thread so people can see your problem. That way you will more likely get the help you need, as this thread is about Kyhi's recovery disk rather than fixing problems on individual PCs.

When you do so, please complete your specs - compare yours with mine- (click My Computer under my post).

    Thanks.

I made the mistake of right clicking on my SSD c: drive (windows partition shows on e: drive from Win 10 Pro automatic repair X: drive in command prompt), which was working fine, and selecting properties then scan. That was when I entered hell and lost access to my computer. After breaking out of scan and repair looping by removing right ram module, and discovering it only goes to automatic repair screen, I ran chkdsk /r for five hours and saw the disk is find no errors. I ran sfc /scannow and no errors. I ran bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd
"Successfully scanned Windows installations. Total identified Windows installations: 0 The operation completed successfully."

    Ran bootrec.exe /fixmbr
    "The operation completed successfully."

    Ran bootrec.exe /fixboot
    "Access is denied."

So I'm trying to figure out how to boot into system to do an inplace upgrade to bring back system.

I downloaded Download Windows 10 Recovery Tool 64-Bit - MajorGeeks and made a bootable DVD out of it using ISO burner, pressed f12 and selected the DVD drive; however, it won't boot into the first screen.

It brings it up briefly with system configuration message and then it goes to the Win 10 Automatic Repair screen. No error messages.

I tried burning the ISO to a different DVD made by a different DVD disc maker but the same thing occurs. Any ideas how to boot up this program?

    Format USB Stick Fat32 -
    Mount ISO
Copy Contents of ISO to USB
Use F12 To select Boot From UEFI USB...

You should have access to your SSD...

You should then be able to Repair / Replace your Boot Files...

I mounted the iso and copied the entire contents to a Fat32 USB stick, pressed f12, and chose the UEFI USB drive. It's at the main screen now with all the program icons.

I have the Cat 6 cable disconnected so received an error message that says: "X:\windows\SYSTEM32\iphlpai.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error... ...Error status 0xc000012f." Only option is OK, so I click OK and get a new error message that says: "An error occurred while starting the "TCP/IP Registry Compatibility service (-10737415421)! Program will be Exit now." I click OK again. Now I'm at the desktop with all the utility applications. It loaded up!

So any suggestions on how to get Windows 10 to boot so I can run an inplace upgrade with my Windows 10 DVD?

I tried safe mode from the while in automatic repair and 4 on reboot from the list but it just went back to automatic repair anyways.

An in place upgrade is done from within the Windows Installation you can not boot...

I believe if you launch Macrium Reflect - there is an option in one of the menus - to repair boot files...
Or you can assign a drive letter to your EFI partition and use bcdedit to add the boot files...

Now that you can see - verify that your C drive and files are intact..

The PE Network Manager never fully loads and always (except once) forces a reboot. I can use it fine until the PE Network Manager crashes (always a different point) and restarts the computer. Is there a way to start this fine platform without the PE Network Manager. Or, perhaps a way to end that task after I get in before it crashes and restarts my computer? I don't need networking at all for what I'm doing. Thank you.

With the downloaded ISO there is no way to disable PENetwork..

    Unless after PE boots -
You right click PENetwork Icon by Clock and select exit

Or you can delete the PENetwork.exe from the > Program Files/PENetwork Folder

If you have time, you can use cmd prompt or run box to type:

    pecmd FILE X:\%PROGRAMFILES%\PENETWORK\PENETWORK.EXE

Otherwise, use 7-zip to delete it from boot.wim.

Or, if you want get fancy, you can change ( what I assume) is in the registry under the run key.

Hi Alinghy, you can create a bootable media on another computer and then boot your computer from the bootable media and restore from the image you've got. Learn how to create Windows 10 recovery disk from here.
