    Windows 10

Hi, newbie here, I have been locked out of my admin account (long story, created a random LIVE username/password to try a feature, turns out I was changing my system's admin pass and username w/ that) so I'm using my guest account on the same PC running W10 (originally W7, updated to w10 last year), fast-forward a week and various things I tried, and was recently sent to this site and referred to this link. Just wanted to make sure this would work, can I use your recovery tool to back up my files to external and reinstall W10? Or does this only work if I'm already logged in as admin? My other option is burn a W10 DVD while in my guest account and see if using that I can transfer my files (and then reinstall it) Thanks a bunch!

There is a program on the Rescue Media > NTPWedit
Open that program - and point to your host \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SAM folder
And make changes to your LOCAL login

You could try enabling the hidden administrator account and using it to make yourself an admin again.
Administrator account - Enable or Disable in Windows 10

No idea, but I can tell you I downloaded the 32-bit version today and am running MBAM on a system right now without issue.

Can now confirm - the work around was not applied to this build....
The needed *.nls files are missing....

If you connect to the internet (first) MBAM will usually work without issue.....

Or just "REM" the line as below..
rem bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu True

As stated above the Usual method is PC boots the Standard Boot menu -

I also edit the batch to allow user to INPUT drive letter > rather then edit batch file...

    1) Create a Small FAT32 > 2GB < Partition

    - I have also used an 8GB-32GB Partition to be able to mount PE Boot.wim and be able to Capture User Modifications while within PE

    - I have also changed Modify-PESE to use Wimlib-Imagex instead of DISM

    2) Copy ISO Files to partition

    3) Run Batch File to add to host Boot Menu

    PESE_MBR_BOOT
I was pretty sure this would work and it did first time .

I created a second partition and copied the standard windows 10 iso to it, and used the EUFI batch file in post #845 to create a boot entry (only thing I did was to rename the boot entry), and I booted straight to the win10 installer.
I tried this more out of curiosity than need because I had seen many posts that said how to install windows 10 from a hard drive as legacy bios install, but not for a UEFI install.

Indeed many posts said it was not possible as drive had to be fat32 which is nonsense as only the EFI partitition needs to be fat32. I knew this had to be wrong as you can boot into Macrium Reflect Free in Winpe mode from hard drive in uefi mode.

Incidentally, I also tried copying the Macrium Reflect iso to a partition in same way and that also works.

I know none of this is really a great surprise but it illustrates how good the batch files here are.

How to make Macrium Reflect Home in Recovery Iso load as as registered

    Hi,

I have a valid licence for Macrium Reflect Home, and when I boot from a Macrium Rescue Iso, it shows as registered copy, giving me the ability to use Macrium's redeploy option.

When I fire it up from the winpe recovery iso, it only shows as a trial version of course, and redeploy does not work.

I mounted the MRH Rescue iso boot.wim using dism, and tried to copy stuff like appdata, progdata, the macrium folder etc to the (mounted) winpe recovery boot.wim, but no matter what I did, it still fires up as a trial option.

Any ideas how I could get MRH to show my licence in the winpse iso?

you need to add the license data to the PE registery..

From host, use regedit and browse to > then export
Or better yet do from within MacriumPE

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macrium\Reflect]
