I believe there was some discussion about page 30 of this topic....
Otherwise you will need to do some research and gain experience working with PE....
ok i will look at it and see if i can get my answer to this question THX

i got the page link i think its about portable apps addition not installing apps..?
Hello Kyhi, and thank you for your incredible utility. I'm playing around the Win10XPE editions since last weekend as I'm trying to restore my dead Windows 10 (bootres.dll corrupted...) and as I'm reorganizing my partitions, I'd like to add a hidden partition to my second hdd so to have the possibility to add your rescue disk as expressed here by NavyLCDR that you have quoted in your main post.....but with a variant: I'd like NOT to have a boot menu at computer boot, but be able to boot into the standard Windows 10 installation ISO copied in the hidden partition (having your boot.wim file replaced in the \source folder) just selecting to boot from the second hdd when I choose to do so hitting the F8 button on my keyboard at computer boot!
Is it possible?? I mean...I think that I'm asking to have my second hdd to boot independently into your boot.wim file...and setting it as second hdd into my motherboard booot sequence, it will not boot as first as on first I have my ssd with my regular Windows 10 installation....right??
How do I set my second hdd to be active and possible to boot from that partition at end of hdd?? Is it possible if partition is at the end? Or should I put it at beginning?
Can I remove the drive letter from that partition then so to NOT see it when I boot regularly from my main ssd with my standard Windows 10 installation?
Thank you very much.
If you have 2 HDD's - you can set your primary OS Drive as your FIRST BOOT HDD...
And Second HDD with (Your Custom Media) can be selected via (F12) Boot Menu Options...
There are many ways and methods of doing what you are wanting to do...
Since you are Testing XPE - Go to Utilities - and Try "Host Boot Option"
It will add a Boot Menu Entry - But You Can Select a low Timeout value..
PC will Boot Directly from XPE Folder
Well, I found a way: I cloned a dual boot x86+x64 Windows 10 Installation USB pendrive onto the end of my second hdd :)
Then I enlarged the FAT32 partition so to handle big boot.wim images.
Then I edidted the BCD of both legacy and efi boot so to remove the Windows x86 name and replace the name with your WinXPE.
Then I emptied the x86 folder and left only the sources\ folder placing inside your boot.wim file.
Now I'd like to know if I can add a third boot option...how to do that? I'd like to add another WinXPE boot.wim to the list, but one thing is editing what is already in the BCDs....and adding a new one without knowing where to click and type is something else
Any help? Thanks!
