    Please recommend a Video Editor?

I have some videos of me talking, and I wanted to find a FREE Video Editor application/software that has video templates where I can insert my videos into it, and make nice professional looking videos?

Does such a free video editor exist for Windows 10? Or only paid ones?

My list, based solely on my own experience.

    1. For more advanced editing, supporting multiple video and audio tracks: HitFilm 3 Express (my favorite).
    2. If you do not need fancy effects and multiple video and audio tracks: Windows Movie Maker, part of the Windows Essentials 2012 suite from Microsoft. Easiest to use.
    3. More features, a bit more steep learning curve: DaVinci Resolve 12. Requires full registration (name, email, phone, city, state, country)
    4. Excellent choice if 720p quality restriction in free version does not bother you: Lightworks

For basic editing you can use programs like BeeCut for Windows and iMovie for Mac OS devices. While if you are looking for more sophisticated editing tool then programs like Vegas Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro are the best ones to use.

You shouldn't haven't to buy any video software - there is so much free stuff around.

Most of the commercial products are only "pirated" versions of the freeware, just with a different fancy GUI. And in a lot of cases the paid products have inbuilt presettings that leave little option for the user to make adjustments.

However, because some of the freeware have greater room for manipulation of video clips, the learning curve requires a little bit more perseverance (and experimentation) ... all for better results. And sometimes more than one program might be used to achieve the end result.

Strongly recommend DaVinci Resolve as free, wish to have Adobe Premiere but without subscription, even paid.
