Thanks Steve for the link .....it did remove the file as soon as I d/l it. BUT I told Norton to add it to my Safe File list, and then was able to d/l it again, and I ran it with no problem. But I see your point Steve, I did have to d/l it twice and tell Norton this file is alright. So Norton does have this listed as a Bad file to run.
But the user can change this in their Nortons...... Thanks again Steve for that link too.

I suppose I could report it to Nortons .....just don't know how long it would take for any action on their part.....Their IS a work around if the user knows how to exclude this program. (DM Log collector)

I know the work around. The big point is, it shouldn't be blocked to begin with. It has been reported to Norton and we were told it had been fixed. But, it hasn't.

Norton has done that before too, John sorted it with a PM to Norton support over there.

Anyone using Norton can report a false positive pretty easily,

    Report a Suspected Erroneous Detection

I assume anyone can do that but they want to know what product was being used so it helps if it's the Norton user.

@derekimo, I'm working one right now that Norton blocked. We listed an exception for it and got the files, but it still does it. I'll give him the link to report it... again

Yup I thought so too, that's why I reported it again, and I am a Norton user, have been for years. They have sent me an email, after I reported it, and a case # for the report. They will get back to me in 2 working days I was told.

Hopefully they get it sorted quickly then, it can't hurt having multiple false positive reports in my opinion.
